Considering a career in games, 3D or VFX?
Discover the programs designed to get you started in game development, 3D animation and visual effects at the AIE Open House on Sat July 27th, 2024. Both campuses will be opening their doors to visitors eager to find out about upcoming full-time and part-time programs.
The day will include presentations on different areas of industry as well as information about AIE programs and entry requirements. Student work will be on display and our instructors will be available to speak with you about how AIE can get you into a creative career.
Join our Workshops!
As part of Open House, we’re thrilled to offer the choice of a free 3D animation, game design or game programming workshop. No prior knowledge needed! The workshop breaks down the basics, making it perfect for anyone curious about how animation or games come to life.
The workshops will be led by engaging AIE instructors who are passionate about their area of expertise. Expect a fun, interactive experience with a blend of clear instruction, hands-on exercises, and collaborative activities.

AIE Programs and Career Pathways
Description Time The games and film industry continues to grow significantly in both the United States and overseas. During this session, participants will be given an in-depth analysis of the industry as well as detailed information on the programs that AIE offers, and the application process. 10:00am

3D ANIMATION AND GAME ART WORKSHOP
Description Time Learn how to create 3D animation using Autodesk Maya, the most widely used 3D animation software used in the games, visual effects and simulation industries. Model and animate a portfolio piece which will contribute to your portfolio of work for entry into our programs. 10:30am

Description Time Discover how to write your own code to create a simple game. In this workshop you will learn the basics of game programming and develop a piece of work that can contribute to your portfolio of work for entry into our programs. 10:30am
